Parallel Lines (and many other names), 2026

Four channels of sound and a film of different lengths begin together and loop independently, returning to their original alignment only once every 18 days.

The film has many other names, but for now it is a didactic one, Parallel Lines, to let you know that all the strands of it-– image, sound, voice, music, pictures––are their own lines moving forth and looping at a pace of their own. Yet of course they are held together by the medium of time and context (/room/, your feelings not mine, san francisco, breath), for which your experience of the work is offered through. And so it is fine, if not more ideal, to see the film only in a glimpse of your periphery or with your eyes closed or by only reading this text. You are not missing out since no one will see the same thing twice.
